Looking after you Bunny

Hi, and welcome to today's vlog on bunny care! Bunnies make great pets, but they do require some specific care to keep them healthy and happy. In this vlog, we'll go over some basic bunny care tips.

Housing

First, let's talk about housing. Bunnies need a spacious cage or hutch to call their home. It should be at least 1.2 m long x 600mm wide and 600mm tall, with a solid floor (no hard floor) and plenty of ventilation. Litter boxes, toys, and hiding spots should also be provided to keep your bunny entertained.

Feeding

Next, let's talk about feeding. Bunnies need a diet that consists of 80% hay, 15% fresh vegetables, and 5% pellets. Hay should be available to them at all times, as it is important for their digestive health. Fresh vegetables, such as, lettuce, spinach, coriander, bok choi, among others can be offered daily in small amounts. Pellets should be limited to just a couple of tablespoons per day.

Exercise

It's important to give your bunny plenty of exercise. Bunnies love to run and play, so provide a large play area where they can stretch their legs and have some fun. Regular playtime outside of their cage will keep them happy and healthy.

Grooming

Bunnies also need regular grooming to keep their fur soft and clean. Brushing your bunny once a week will help prevent hairballs and keep their coat looking shiny. Trimming their nails every 4-6 weeks will also be necessary to keep them from becoming too long and causing discomfort.

And that's it for today's vlog on bunny care! Remember, bunnies are social animals, so consider getting two bunnies so they can keep each other company.
